We have a proven sequence to ensure your pool closing is quick, safe and effective.
What we do
Our skilled service technicians take the time to properly close your pool, ensuring everything is done carefully and thoroughly. We never rush the process, because a well-closed pool helps protect your investment during the off-season and makes for an easier opening in the spring. Once we’re finished, your pool will be securely shut down and ready for winter.
Here's exactly what we do:
- 1We drop the water to the right level.
- 2We remove the return fittings, lights, deck equipment and skimmer basket.
- 3We blow every suction and return line clear.
- 4We add antifreeze, then plug all suction and return lines.
- 5We drain and winterize your pump, filter, heater and salt system.
- 6We turn off the breakers we can reach — at the equipment pad or in your shed. Any inside the house are yours to switch off.
- 7We shock the pool, using the right amount of chlorine for its volume.
- 8We fill your water bags, or raise your safety cover anchors.
- 9We secure the winter cover and leave your pool set for the freeze.
Water bags and beaded covers take significantly longer to fit, which is why they're priced differently below.

A custom Covertech mesh safety cover puts you on the lowest tier — $349 with early bird pricing — and keeps you there every year after. No bags to fill or haul, no water and leaves pooling on top all winter, a much cleaner opening in spring, and a cover a child or pet can't fall through.
Covers are custom-fabricated to your pool's exact shape, and fabrication takes 10–21 days, so measurements need to happen well before your closing date.
